Crying At The Bar
There's this little guy sitting inside a bar, just looking at his drink. He stays like that for half an hour. Then, this big trouble-making truck driver steps next to him, takes the drink from the guy, and just drinks it all down. The poor man starts crying. The truck driver says "Come on may, I was just joking. Here, I'll buy you another drink. I just can't stand to see a man crying."
"No, it's not that. Today is the worst of my life. First, I overslept and was late for an important meeting. My boss, outraged, fired me. When I left the building, I found my car was stolen. The police, they said they could do nothing.
"I got a cab to return home, and after I paid the driver and the cab had gone. I found that I left my wallet in the cab."
"I got home only ot find my wife was in bed with the gardener. I left home and come to this bar and when I was thinking about putting an end to my life, you show up and drink my poison...."News Strait Times

for the teeneger who is complaining about doing dishes because that means she is at home and not on the streets
for the taxes that I pay because it means that I am employed
for the mess to clean after a party because it means that I have been surrounded by friends
for the clothes that fit a little too snug because it means I have enough to eat
for my shadow that watches me work because it means I am out in the sunshine
for a lawn that needs mowing, window that need cleaning and gutters that need fixing because it eans I have a home
for all the complaining I hear about the government because that means we have freedom to speech
for the pile of laundry are ironing because it means I have clothes to wear
for the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours because it means that I am alive
and finally...
for too much email and letters because it means I have friends who are thinking of me...News Strait Times
